Open Day at the University of Surrey - 22 October
Wednesday 1 October 2008
The University of Surrey will be holding an Open Day on Wednesday 22 October.
The programme will be of interest not only to anyone considering Higher Education, but also careers advisors, teachers, friends and relatives. The University of Surrey has an outstanding employment record, in part due to the Professional Training scheme which is so highly valued by employers. The Open Day allows visitors to find out more and see the Guildford campus for themselves.
Every academic department at Surrey will have a stand in the exhibition area. Members of staff and current students will be on hand to answer questions. Additional stands include the Students' Union, Student Care Services and UniSPORT. Visitors will be able to follow a tour route around campus, and tours of accommodation will take place throughout the day.
A free shuttle bus will run between the open day registration marquee and Guildford station.
Visitors are asked to book for the event using a form on the website www.surrey.ac.uk/opendays or by calling 0800 980 3200. The full programme is also available to read on these open days web pages.
Katy Leivers, Student Marketing Coordinator, says: "This year’s open days are going to be better than ever. We’ve designed the day to give people the chance to gather the most information possible in one visit. After the open day, we hope that visitors will feel that they are in a good position to make a decision on applying to the University of Surrey."
