University of Surrey Annual River Sports Day

University of Surrey students are starting the new academic year by meeting new people and enjoying the alternative University life at the watery highlight of the year 'River Sports Day' and the ever popular events, Water Gladiators and Tug of War on the River Wey at Millmead (near the Britannia Pub) on Saturday 27 September between 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.
Events include kayaking, river pillow fights, water gladiators, tug of war and much more. The River Sports Day has become an annual highlight of the University Calendar and is now in its 34th year. In addition to the fun to be had at the event, staff and students will be raising money for Disability Challengers.
The Rivers Sports Day is one of over 500 cultural events taking place around the UK this weekend - kicking off the four-year Cultural Olympiad.
