Short Courses in Advanced Materials

The University of Surrey invites delegates to two short course in Advanced Materials. These courses may be taken individually or selected and linked together with assessments and a project to form a modular MSc Advanced Materials Programme. Designed to suit your schedule, the MSc is available as a part-time or full-time study route.
Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering short course will take place between September 29 and October 3 2008. The course will provide delegates with an introduction to the main classes of materials, the important properties and the techniques used.
Introduction to Composite Materials short course will take place on November 10 - 14 2008. This intensive short course covers the essential concepts and practices of Composite Materials. All topics are introduced from first principles and the emphasis is on developing a critical understanding of concepts.
