Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour in Schools Conference
Thursday 31 January 2008
Professor Helen Cowie, Director of the UK Observatory for the Promotion of Non-Violence at the University of Surrey, will be chairing the 4th National Conference on Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour in Schools to be held on Wednesday, March 12 in Central London.
Unruly behaviour and the poor attendance of a minority of pupils are frequently linked to anti-social behaviour in school and the community. But how can schools and their community partners change the perceptions of staff, pupils and the community and improve behaviour? Capita's 4th National Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour in Schools conference examines how to prevent anti-social behaviour and promote and sustain a climate of non-violence in schools and the wider community.
Hands-on, practical advice will be delivered through a mix of practical case studies, high-level presentations and extended Q&A sessions with secondary school head teachers.
Attend this timely and topical conference to explore the most challenging issues facing professionals charged with tackling anti-social behaviour and benefit from the opportunity to engage with our expert speakers, who include:
- Sir Alan Steer, Head Teacher, Seven Kings High School and Chairman, Government Disciplinary Taskforce
- Kenny Frederick, Head Teacher, George Green’s School
- PC Ed Ward, Northumbria Police
