New MSc in International Event Management and MSc in Operations and Logistics Management validated for launch in September 2008
Friday 11 April 2008
The new MSc in International Event Management and MSc in Operations and Logistics Management from the University of Surrey recently received successful validation and are now recruiting students for entry in September 2008. This successful validation reflects the culmination of many months hard work put in by programme leaders, Dr Donna Chambers and Dr Mark Gannon.
The exciting new MSc International Event Management programme recognises the increasingly vital role of the events industry and the need for the professionalism of this key industry. It will be particularly attractive to those who already have an undergraduate honours degree or equivalent qualification but who are seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in event management and also for those already working in events who are seeking to enhance their formal qualifications and career prospects.
The programme covers general management subjects including financial management and project management and more specialist subjects including events operations management and understanding the events industry.

The MSc in Operations and Logistics Management is an exciting new full-time postgraduate degree which will be of particular interest to both those professionals wishing to enhance their qualifications and career prospects and to those who have recently completed a business management degree and are seeking to work in the Operations and Logistics sector.
The programme offers more business and management orientated modules than any other Operations and Logistics Management programme, and in contrast to similar programmes offered elsewhere. The course offers training in the SAP system, the world-leading enterprise software suite.
