Polymers for Advanced Applications

The Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Surrey cordially invites students and professionals to attend the course ‘Polymers for Advanced Applications’ to be held at the University of Surrey, between 02-06 February 2009.
The course provides an up-to-date appreciation of the development and application of polymers in engineering. The emphasis is on the newer and more advanced polymers. The course starts with an overview of the science of polymeric materials and leads into a detailed discussion of mechanical and physical properties.
Upon successful completion of the course, learners should have a knowledge of the properties, processing and applications of thermoplastics and thermosets, both bulk and specialised materials.
