World is on the menu

The University of Surrey recently hosted the iFestival event both on campus and in the local community of Guildford. The celebration featured a wide variety of events, from a football tournament to henna painting. There are students from over 130 different nationalities at Surrey so this was a chance to celebrate one’s own culture but to also learn more about the culture of others.
The iFestival was marked by the opening of the campus’ first international food store. The Union Shop will stock hundreds of different lines of Chinese, Indian, Italian and Greek food and drinks. Students will be able to buy noodles, rice, pasta and sauces from around the world.
