Media Invitation – Surrey welcomes St John Ambulance for County Competition
Wednesday 5 March 2008
The University of Surrey will be hosting the St John Ambulance Competitions on Sunday, 9 March in the Duke of Kent building.
The all-day event consists of members of St John Ambulance of all ages and levels, participating in both team and individual events. These events will test the participants’ knowledge of First Aid and Care, and there will also be a quiz for the Cadets and an Ambulance Transport Competition. The competitions will culminate in the announcement of the results and the Presentation of Awards in the Austin Pearce building by the Commander of St John Ambulance in Surrey, Mr Anthony Mallard MBE.
This competition is a dress rehearsal for the Regional round which is to be staged at the University on Saturday, 17 May when teams from Jersey, Guernsey, Kent, Sussex and Surrey will compete against each other to identify which county will represent the region at the National Finals Competitions in July at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon.
