Monday 25 February 2008

University of Surrey’s Professor Greville Corbett has been invited to sit on the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Panel; "The Human Mind and its Complexity" from 2009. This is a new venture. The ERC was set up in 2007 and launched its starting grants for younger researchers. There will be two panels, which will be active every other year. Each panel will be composed of approximately 12 academic members from across Europe.

Professor Corbett comments on his appointment: "I am very glad to be involved in this new scheme, which will be distributing substantial sums in research funding across a wide range of disciplines."
