Dance conversation with Kevin Finnan

The Department of Dance and Theatre Studies at the University of Surrey is providing an opportunity to spend an evening in conversation with Kevin Finnan, Artistic Director of Motionhouse Dance Theatre Company on Wednesday 6 February at 7:30 p.m. in Austin Pearce, Lecture Theatre 2.
Kevin Finnan, together with Louise Richards, founded Motionhouse in 1988. As Artistic Director he has created, either alone or in collaboration with Louise, each of the company's touring productions, numbering seventeen full-length works to date. Committed to exploring and exploding traditional use of space in performance, Kevin has a history of extraordinary site based performance work.
Motionhouse is renowned for ambitious experimentation with the performance environment and for developing large-scale participatory performance events in which setting, action and context collide. It creates and delivers an extraordinary range of dance performance, acclaimed for striking use of imagery, theatricality and immediate impact. Large-scale productions include ‘At the Beach’ in 2004, where a cast of hundreds were used along with four JCB diggers!
