The future starts here

The University invites all those with an interest to an event entitled “The future starts here – from splitting the atom to rollable TVs” as part of the British Science Festival 2009. The event will take place in Lecture Theatre A, Thursday 10 September, 10.00am-11.00am. A series of presentations will be made by University of Surrey PhD students.
This event is a unique opportunity to gain an insight into some of the exciting and cutting-edge research taking place at the University. The short talks will showcase current activities in fields ranging from nuclear physics to the latest developments in nanotechnology and communication devices. Discover how the science and technology of today will impact tomorrow’s society.
A question and answer session will follow the presentations.
