The evolution of monsters in the garden of England kicks off the British Science Festival

The British Science Festival is coming to the University of Surrey, 5-10 September 2009 with the events across the region. The jam packed programme, themed ‘Creativity, Innovation and Evolution’ promises insight, exploration and fun for all.

The British Science Festival kicks off with a pre event on Friday 4 September with 4 public talks from 6.00pm – 9.00pm on Evolution in Film, Fiction and Art. Speakers include Tim Haines, writer for science-fiction series Primeval, David Ashford, University of Surrey; Barry Langford, Royal Holloway and artist C.M Koseman. Hear four short talks on science-fiction in the prow of the ship-like building (Duke of Kent) famous as the ARC in Primeval.
