Robert Winston: The Man behind the Moustache

The University of Surrey is delighted to present an evening event entitled ‘Robert Winston: the Man behind the Moustache’ as part of the British Science Festival 2009. This evening of questions will take place in the School of Management, Tuesday 8 September, 8.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m.

Lord Winston will be discussing his work within a spectrum of scientific fields, a career in front of and behind the camera, and his hopes and fears for the future of medicine and science. Questions from the audience will be fielded by Surrey’s Professor Jim Al-Khalili.

Professor Lord Robert Winston is the eminent medical doctor, academic, television presenter and member of the House of Lords. He is perhaps best known for his work in human fertility but has also conducted research into DNA and robotics.
He has presented a number of high-profile BBC television series including, Superhuman, The Secret Life of Twins, Child of Our Time, Human Instinct, and the BAFTA Award-winning The Human Body.
