The University of Surrey invites members of the press to a series of fascinating events on Wednesday 9 September, as part of the British Science Festival 2009. The week’s events will be in full swing, providing opportunities for everyone to engage in science.
Discover the science tackling the issues that really matter. Learn about the serious effects of climate change on the South East’s water supply and what we can all do to help. Delve into the human mind and consider how expressing emotions through dance and art can support recovering medical patients. See new medical evidence about the effects of diet on prostate cancer put into practice as Antony Worrall Thompson cooks some delicious dishes to promote prostate health. Or if you’re feeling competitive, work out your Connect 4 strategy and learn how to code it into your own computer programme before taking on the rest of the world in an online match.
