Guildford Book Festival 2009 promises to be a best-seller

The 20th annual Guildford Book Festival will take place at venues across Guildford from 14-24 October and promises to be another page-turner.

Some of Britain’s finest writers and personalities have confirmed their attendance including: wildlife champion Virginia McKenna, celebrity chef James Martin, BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner, Olympic gold medal-winning rower Sir Steve Redgrave, comedian, author and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig, presenter of BBC TV’s Coast Neil Oliver and many more.

Whatever you’re reading, the Guildford Book Festival has it covered, from crime to history, genealogy to biography. The Festival is also jam-packed with events for children including Storystation, The Big Draw, Cartoon Workshops and a substantial schools programme.

The University of Surrey has confirmed it will be hosting three events:
