Surrey appoints Director of Development and Alumni Relations

The University of Surrey is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Gethin as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations. He will take up the post at the University in January 2010.
Chris has over 20 years experience in fundraising, communications and marketing within the non profit sector. Currently Director of Development and Alumni Relations at City University London, over his career Chris has a strong track record of success having worked in a variety of UK and international organisations ranging from a UK university, local community organisation, national UK grant giving trust, UK disability charity, UK development charity and international network and umbrella organisation.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Christopher Snowden said: "I am delighted at Chris Gethin’s appointment to the role of Director of Development. I am confident that Surrey will benefit enormously from his many years experience and success in this activity. I look forward to working with him to grow our fundraising and endowments at the University."
