Storm sign kit deal with Gilbert
Thursday 5 November 2009
Surrey Storm has announced a two year kit deal with netball and rugby specialists Gilbert. Gilbert, which has previously supplied kit for the London and South East Superleague Franchise, continues its commitment to netball in the region and Storm will be playing in their new look dresses on their opening fixture away to Team Northumbria on Saturday 12 November.
Hellen Manufor, Gilbert Brand Manager and former England International stated: “I am very pleased that we are sponsoring Surrey Storm and developing a clothing and ball range for them. As a new franchise in the Co-operative Netball Superleague they have a fantastic team of forward thinking personnel and have already begun to build a tremendous team of athletes. We are especially pleased that Storm has chosen to build a relationship with Gilbert which represents a further major endorsement for the quality of Gilbert clothing and balls and demonstrates Gilbert’s strong association with netball at the highest level around the world. We look forward to growing a long-standing relationship with Surrey Storm and wish them all the success this season."
Gilbert is also the kit supplier for international sides such as Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Botswana, Wales and Malawi. It is official ball suppliers to the likes of Australia and New Zealand, and for the ANZ Championship and all official IFNA World Tournaments.
Surrey Storm Franchise Director Jason Harborow added: “We have a new brand for the Storm which looks fantastic and our kit will tie in with that. I am confident that Gilbert and Storm will be producing the best clothing and balls for our squad and our supporters. The designs look fantastic and we can’t wait to unveil our new kit later this year. We would also like to thank Gilbert for all their hard work in such a short turn around of time.”
