University of Surrey hosts successful Saudi International Conference 2009...

The 3rd Saudi International Conference, sponsored by King Abdulaziz University, took place at the University of Surrey on Friday 05 June and Saturday 06 June 2009. Visitors to the accompanying cultural exhibition were given the opportunity to sample delicious Saudi foods, sweets and Arabic coffee and the exhibition showcased many areas relating to life in Saudi Arabia including its history, traditional dress, and the arts.

The conference was multi-disciplinary in outlook, with papers covering subjects in humanities, applied sciences, biomedical & health sciences, engineering and information & communication technologies.

Organised under the auspices of the Saudi Students' Clubs and Schools in the UK and Ireland, the programme included working papers and poster presentations, training workshops, plenary panel discussions and an exhibition.
