Students recommend Surrey
Thursday 18 June 2009
The University of Surrey has been rated as a top 5 university for Job Prospects by students writing for Whatuni.com.
Surrey is also ranked as a top 10 university overall and in the top 10 in other categories covering accommodation, facilities and the Student Union. Whatuni.com is run by Hotcourses and is a popular website for school-leavers, attracting over 2 million visits a year. What sets it apart from other sites is that it contains over 7,000 reviews and ratings written by current and former students about their experiences whilst at university, which are then published on the site to provide useful guidance to future students. These ratings enable the University of Surrey to carry the 'Whatuni Students Recommended Uni' approval logo on its website.
"We are delighted that our students value the benefits of coming to Surrey. This award recognises the hard work of staff across the University to ensure that the students' time with us is a really positive experience and a springboard to a great future," says Professor Nigel Seaton, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
