Surrey International Institute celebrates first graduation in China...
Monday 22 June 2009
Surrey is delighted to announce the successful graduation of the first cohort of students from the Surrey International Institute (SII) in Dalian, China. Seven students graduated with an MSc in International Business Management and were warmly congratulated by Professor Colin Grant, Dean Zhao and Associate Dean Meng who officiated on the day.
“This is a significant step both for Surrey and for SII who are delighted to be successfully delivering authentic Surrey degrees in China”, says Tao Shuo of SII. “Our graduates cherish not only their qualification but also the experience of working with Surrey staff. To receive a respected British education without needing to travel to the UK is a wonderful opportunity, although they do welcome the chance to study in both places. Already one of our graduates has secured work in management at Dalian Port”.
Nineteen students have embarked on the new course and the University of Surrey looks forward to supporting the programme going forward.
