Revd Canon Jonathan Frost to become Southampton's new Bishop

Congratulations to Revd Canon Jonathan Frost who will become the next Bishop of Southampton.
Downing Street confirmed last week Jonathan will take the title following approval of his nomination by the Queen.
Professor Nigel Seaton, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Surrey, comments: "The University is delighted for Jonathan and wish him very well in the new role. Jonathan has been Co-ordinating Chaplain for nearly nine years and in that time has provided great support, care and advice to all students, staff and the wider community. He has been a major diving force within the University with his Chaplaincy colleagues for the vision and planning of the Multi Faith Centre."
The Bishop of Winchester, Rt Revd Michael Scott-Joynt, welcomed the announcement that Jonathan will join his team as a suffragan bishop covering the southern part of the Diocese of Winchester. Bishop Michael said: "I look forward to welcoming and commissioning him for his ministry in the Diocese in the context of Evensong on 4 December."
Jonathan will be consecrated as a Bishop in the Church of England at St Paul's Cathedral, London on Tuesday, 30 November and will be welcomed into the Diocese of Winchester on 4 December when he will take up the title of Bishop of Southampton.
