BBC Radio’s flagship political panel show to be broadcast from University

Tuesday 15 January 2013

The prestigious radio panel show “Any Questions?” will be broadcast from the University of Surrey this month.

Eric Pickles, MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, will be on the panel alongside Economist Alison Wolf and Shadow Justice Minister Emily Thornberry MP.

The show, hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby on BBC Radio 4, features the panel answering questions posed by the audience. It is broadcast live from a different location each week with a different panel.

Dr Roberta Guerrina, Head of the School of Politics, at the University of Surrey, said: “This is a great opportunity for members of the University and the local community to ask questions of political leaders about national policies.

“Programmes like “Any Questions” highlight the every day impact of political choices made in Westminster. They go to the heart of civic engagement, political ownership and participation”.

It will be broadcast from the Ivy Arts Centre on campus on Friday 25 January after the 8pm news. Tickets for the show have sold out.
