Surrey Professor awarded Vacuum Council Senior Prize

Congratulations to Professor John F. Watts who has been awarded the British Council Senior Prize and John Yarwood Memorial Medal.
The prize is awarded to those who make distinguished contributions to British Scientific research in the field of vacuum science and engineering. The presentation took place on 1 July 2009 as part of the UK Surface Analysis Forum Meeting, at the University of Nottingham.
Professor Watts commented that the award was confirmation of the high standards of work produced in applied surface analysis at Surrey in recent years. He added 'This award is a great tribute to myself and the talented team of researchers I am fortunate enough to work with.'
