Research excellence in MMA engineering recognised in RAE2008

Research excellence in MMA has been recognised in the recent RAE.
The research was submitted as part of the University return under UoA25 (General Engineering). 75% of this submission was rated as either "world leading" (4*) or "internationally excellent" (3*), with the balance "recognised internationally" (2*), making the University of Surrey General Engineering submission one of the top ten nationally (according to Research Fortnightly).
