We offer MSc's in Biomedical Enginering and Advanced Materials, these programmes are designed to address specific commerical demands in these high-technology and rapidly advancing sectors.

The Department has a long standing reputation for the quality of its MSc Courses, which have been highly commended by external examiners and quality assessment schemes.

MSc in Advanced Materials

The comprehensive and advanced nature of the course material produces graduates with a wide and thorough knowledge of materials science. The highly flexible and far-ranging syllabus benefits people at all stages of their careers who either want to acquire a full MSc qualification or to undertake individual modules as discrete short courses. It also provides employers a means of meeting their specific skills needs and a way of implementing a programme of structured career development for their employees.

MSc in Biomedical Engineering

The MSc in Biomedical Engineering has been running for over 40 years, making it the longest established programme of it's kind in England. It provides the broad base of knowledge required for a Biomedical Engineering career in Industry, Healthcare or Research and in the UK offers a complete base appropriate to Clinical Engineering elements of the Clinical Scientist Training Scheme. It is fully accredited by the UK Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) for its National Health Service (NHS) professional training scheme.
