Departmental PhD Scholarships for 2011

Tuesday 30 November 2010

Two new PhD scholarlships are available in composition, performance or musicology starting next academic session.

The Department of Music and Sound Recording will, once again, be offering studentships to outstanding candidates who wish to enrol for the degree of PhD in music, and who will begin their studies in the academic year 2011-12. We shall be offering two studentships, one to cover full-time Home/EU fees only, and one to cover part-time Home/EU fees only. We are happy to accept non-EU students on to the programme, and to consider such students for a studentship, but the value is limited to that of Home/EU fees.

The application process will be publicized early in 2011, and the deadline for receipt of applications for a studentship (which must include an application to the programme) will be towards the end of April 2011.
