"BUILD YOUR OWN TIME MACHINE"
INTERVIEW ABOUT NEW SCIENCE BOOK PROJECT.
"Take one wormhole, stabilise it, apply an electric charge and then load onto a rocket….", these instructions for building a time machine are taken from a fascinating new book written by Dr Jim Al-Khalili. A physicist from the University of Surrey, Dr Al-Khalili adopts the popular science and humorous approach in his book on 'Black Holes, Wormholes and Time Machines'.
Aimed at teenagers and non-scientists, Dr Al-Khalili explains the basis of Einstein's work on spacetime and relativity and raises unusual questions on 'what shape is the universe' and 'how do you see a black hole'? The reader is drawn into the sci-fi world of time travels and the possible realities of building a time machine.
Dr Al-Khalili will be conducting a series of interviews to discuss the sci-fi possibilities seen in your favourite Star Trek programme and other futuristic films. If you would like to interview Dr Al-Khalili, fill in your details on the enclosed form or contact:
