When to apply

UCAS normally accepts applications for entry from students with UK or EU addresses from the beginning of September to the middle of January of the academic year preceding the year of entry.

Students applying from a non-EU country (including EU nationals) are able to apply to UCAS between the beginning of September and the end of June of the academic year preceding the year of entry.  However, most applicants apply well before the end of June and if your son or daughter wants to be sure that a place is available on their chosen programme at Surrey, you should encourage them to apply as soon as possible.

All applications received at UCAS after the closing date are considered through the clearing process.

Get to know us

At Surrey we understand that choosing the right university is an important but often challenging task.  To help with their decision making, we recommend that your son or daughter visits their chosen universities so they can get a better feel for them.  We run a number of open days spread throughout the year and will provide a personalised programme to ensure your son or daughter gets the most from their visit.

As well as our open days, we also hold guided tours of our campus every Wednesday at 1pm.  These are designed to give prospective students a feel for student life at Surrey.

Booking in advance for both open days and guided tours is essential.
