When does my son/daughter register at the University of Surrey?

We will send your son/daughter full information about registration so please ensure that they read all the information we provide very carefully.
They will be able to access full information about their course after they’ve enrolled.

Can I find out about my son/daughter’s attendance?

For legal reasons we cannot provide direct responses to third-party enquiries, including those of parents in relation to issues such as attendance, health, performance and relationships.  Our Student Support team is always happy to explain how things work at the University and what support is available and can advise students to contact/inform their parents.  However, students are under no obligation to accept this advice.

If there is an emergency, can I contact my son/daughter?

If you cannot reach your son or daughter via their mobile or at their courts of residence then in an emergency situation please contact the Student Advice office and we will try to make contact with them for you.  

What are the semester dates?

The University’s standard academic year runs from September to June. Semester dates are available here.
