Monday 31 January 2011

Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Senior-Lecturer/Reader in theoretical condensed matter physics and its application to photonic devices.

The appointee will carry out research within the Photonics Group of the Advanced Technology Institute. As well as building a strong independent research programme you will be expected to contribute fully and enthusiastically to undergraduate and postgraduate physics teaching. You will also be expected to contribute to administrative activities within the department. Your research interests will be in the interaction of light with matter, and you will be expected to develop your own research programme in this area of theoretical condensed matter physics.
