Inspiring local students in partnership with Reed's School

Monday 14 February 2011

On Wednesday 9th February, 70 year 10 students from the Surrey area participated in activities at Reed's School and University of Surrey.  This collaboration between the school and the university was aiming to inspire students to study physics further.

At Reed's School the students had a go at a circus of hands on activities, loaned by SEPnet, and demonstrated by a mixture of students from the university and A level students from the school.  At the University, the students got to hear a short talk from one of our lecturers and have tours of our laboratories.  The visiting teachers were all positive about the experience and are keen to work with us again.
