UG Students accepted for SEPnet Summer Bursary

Monday 23 May 2011

Emma McDermott is going to Intech Science Centre and Planetarium and Laurence Stant  is off to the Met Office this July.

Each year, SEPnet provides funding for undergraduates in Level 1 and Level 2 to conduct eight week studentships in their choice of academic research or industry. The scheme allows students to gain new skills and insights into the industry and this year there were 30 bursaries of £1360 (£170 per week) available in July.  Emma and Laurence were the fortunate recipients from Surrey.

The SEPnet Summer Bursary is an invaluable way for physics undergraduates to gain work experience over the summer holiday period in either a commercial company or research institution.
