Laurence Stant discusses his summer research project at the Met Office with Anne Milton MP at the SEPnet Students' Expo
The SEPnet Students’ Expo was held at the Royal Society on 15th November 2011 and provided an opportunity for students and employers to present the results of their work over the summer. It was also attended by their academic tutors and provided a chance for the students to further hone their presentation and networking skills.
Each year SEPnet funds 30 students to undertake work placement in science and technology businesses. Major employers involved with this year’s students are the Met Office, QinetiQ, BMW, the National Physical Laboratory and SELEX Galileo, in addition to a large number of SMEs.
