University of Surrey's impressive rise in the latest Guardian league table

We are pleased to announce several advances in the Guardian League table from departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
The University of Surrey has enjoyed great overall success in these latest league tables, now having risen to 12th place.
- Civil Engineering goes up three places to 3rd.
- Mathematics goes up 9 places to 27th.
- Physics goes up 4 places to 31st.
