PhySoc goes to CERN!

Physoc will be taking 14 students to CERN for 3 days in January to visit CERN and find out more about the recent Higgs boson results
After undergoing a selection process, the lucky 14 will travel by minibus to Switzerland to have a guided tour around some of the research facilities and get an insight into a current experiment at CERN, before experiencing the sights of Geneva and staying in the city centres ‘Geneva Youth Hostel’. PhySoc have received funding from Institute of Physics to help fund this trip, with additional support from the department.
