Professor Marie Breen-Smyth made a return trip to Birzeit University in December 2011, and met with colleagues in the Ibrahim Abu Lughod Institute of International Studies and the MA Program in Democracy and Human Rights at Birzeit. Whilst in Jerusalem, Professor Helga Baumgarten and Professor Breen-Smyth met with Sir Adam Roberts, President of the British Academy, which supports the link between Surrey, Birzeit and Singidunum University in Serbia.
