Politics @ Surrey Tops National Student Survey 2012

The School of Politics is ranked joint first on the NSS 2012, with an overall satisfaction of 96%.

Committed to the use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods, the School runs a range of programmes that explore the link between theory and practice in national and global politics.

Students in the School are part of a vibrant and active community where research informs debates and teaching. Students will have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to a range of activities (role plays, roundtable, debates etc) aimed at developing academic knowledge and transferable skills.

We are ranked 14th in the Guardian University Subject League Table 2013 and 17th in the Complete University Guide 2013.

The School is home to two research centres. The Centre for International Intervention (cii) and the Centre for Research on the European Matrix (CRonEM).

The School of Politics was formed in 2004, building on Surrey's thirty year record of research and teaching on Politics and Policy; European Politics and International Politics.
