Dr John Varcoe
Reader in Materials Chemistry and EPSRC Leadership Fellow
John is at the cutting edge of international research into advanced membranes and materials for the next generation of batteries and fuel cells. This work has practical applications in vital areas such as sustainable energy, water desalination, and carbon capture and utilisation. The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) made him a Leadership Fellow in 2010.
