Melissa’s research takes in feminism, the dancing body and oral history, as well as representations of Afro-Cuban dance on stage and screen. She is editor of The Oxford Handbook of Dance and the Popular Screen, a regular journal contributor and an acclaimed performer in many Latin American social dance forms.
