Indiana University
Jonathan Plucker is Professor of Educational Psychology and Cognitive Science at Indiana University, where he directs the Center for Evaluation and Education Policy. His research, supported by over $30 million in external funding, examines creativity, education policy, and talent development, with over 150 publications to his credit. His work defining and studying excellence gaps (http://ceep.indiana.edu/mindthegap) is part of a larger effort to reorient policymakers’ thinking about how best to promote success and high achievement for all children. He is an APA and AAAS Fellow and the 2012 recipient of the APA Arnheim Award for Outstanding Achievement for his research on creativity. His past leadership roles include serving as president of Division 10 of the American Psychological Association and chair of the Research and Evaluation Division of the National Association for Gifted Children. He was recently ranked among the 100 most influential academics in education policy by Education Week. His work is widely mentioned in the media, including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Newsweek.
