Research volunteers needed
Thursday 13 October 2011
The School of Psychology now has an online system for encouraging and managing research participation.
Staff, students, and members of the public are invited to register online by following the link to the Research Participation Website.
Registering only takes a couple of minutes, and once registered you will be able to see details of interesting studies that are currently running in the School. Information is provided about how long each study takes, what is involved, and so on.
If you want to take part in any of the studies, you will be able to see what timeslots are currently available, and make a booking automatically. There is a mix of studies listed on the site, covering a range of different topics and using a variety of methods. Online studies are also frequently advertised on the site, which you can take part in without even leaving your computer!
Some studies offer a payment to participants, others offer different incentives, and some are unpaid. Some studies advertise ‘lab tokens’ as an incentive, which are available only to first and second year Psychology undergraduates. However, researchers running lab token studies may still be keen for you to participate even if you are not a member of one of these groups, so get in touch with the named contact if you are interested.
More studies will be added to the site regularly throughout the year. Please, register and see what is happening in the School of Psychology!
