Research award for Psychology student

Wednesday 8 February 2012

Lucy Butterworth, who is currently studying for her MSC at the University of Surrey, having graduated also from Surrey with a first class honours degree last year, won the coveted price for the best research project at the British Psychological Society's Annual Conference in Chester, January 2012. Lucy undertook practical research to encourage recycling behaviours in the workplace, and was commended on her mixed methods approach.

She was supervised by Dr Almuth McDowall.

Lucy follows in the footsteps of Alison Lynsday, now a Surrey alumni, who was runner up last year - also supervised by Almuth.
