Biography
My research is about Quality of Life among kidney transplant recipients in Pakistan. Investigating health outcomes and Quality of life is a focus of current Health psychology research. I am a clinical psychologist and lecturer in University of the Punjab, Lahore Pakistan, and conducting a longitudinal research focused on Individual differences in perceptions and reported Quality of life of kidney transplanted recipients. So far, I have collected two waves of data and found some interesting findings about psychosocial and medical predictors of satisfaction with QOL in this population. My research would be contributing in facilitating designing better counseling and psycho- educational interventions with cultural considerations that can develop more awareness among Pakistani recipients to protect their grafts and improve QOL with higher survival rates and modify health outcomes positively.
I am supervised by Prof. Chris Fife Schaw and Prof. Jane Ogden.
