Work-Life Balance Working Group

Internship

Dates

Start date: 1 July 2010
End date: 30 September 2010

Summary

In 2009, together with Professor Gail Kinman from the University of Bedfordshire I set up a working group on Work-Life Balance which continues to be funded by the British Psychological Society's Division of Occupational Psychology. It is our broad aim to advance theoretical developments and practice in the field.

As part of our activities, we received further funding for a three-months research internship. This will enable us to undertake a systematic review of relevant research in the field, to produce simple fact sheets on work-life balance aimed at practitioners and lay people and to submit a number of conference submissions. Preliminary findings will be launched at a Breakfast meeting at the British Psychological Society's London Office in Autumn, and featured in the Psychologist.
