MSc Health Psychology

Health Psychology concerns the application of the theories, methods and techniques of psychology to issues of health and illness, including:

  • maintenance of health
  • psychological well being of the physically ill
  • normal and pathological responses to ill-health and stress

The MSc in Health Psychology is accredited by the British Psychological Society and students need to have graduate basis for registration (GBR) from the British Psychological Society.

The MSc has been designed for those who have graduated with a first degree in psychology and wish to become a Chartered Health Psychologist or who wish to specialise in this important area of psychology. The course can be undertaken within one year (full-time) or two years (part-time).
