M49 Crafting Research: Linking theories and methods
Aims and Learning Outcomes
This module aims to guide students through the complexities of research crafting, enabling them to generate research questions in inductive and deductive ways and select appropriate tools to investigate them.
By the end of this modules students are expected
- to be able to link theoretical and empirical questions to social issues and to provide them with an in-depth understanding of the practical applications and action implications of social psychological theories and empirical findings.
- to be able to work in teams to produce research projects enabling the development of appropriate interpersonal skills to achieve collaborative research.
- to be trained to carry out research ethically and maintain appropriate standards of conduct

Required Prerequisite Study

Completion Requirement
Completion of the module (and the acquisition of 15 Course Credits) requires a total of 20 contact hours in the form of the workshops. Students are also required to invest a minimum of 100 hours of study time and to successfully pass the assignments.
