Are you looking for funding to successfully exploit your research? On Thursday 13th December 2012, Professor Steve Williamson will launch Surrey's EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA). Please join us at the launch event to find out how the IAA could help to further your research as well as how to apply for IAA funding.
The IAA follows on from Surrey's successful EPSRC Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA). The IAA aims to accelerate the process of research exploitation by delivering an innovative programme of activities that will significantly enhance the reach and impact of past, current and future EPSRC funded research beyond the established exploitation routes.
So if you have EPSRC-funded research that you wish to develop, you can apply for IAA funding.
To be eligible for funding you must:
- Have a current or recently-completed EPSRC research grant
- Have a public or private sector partner who is prepared to contribute 50% of the costs (in cash or in kind). This reduces to 30-40% if the partner is an SME
- Have a clear plan to apply for additional funding (eg TSB) to take the research further after the end of the IAA funding
The maximum amount for IAA funding is £20k. However, if milestones and deliverables are met in the agreed project timescale, further funding from the IAA may be available.
If you have any questions or for further information, please contact the IAA project officer, Lisa Hadden, on l.hadden@surrey.ac.uk or #3495.
