Research Winners Announced: University of Surrey/FAPESP Joint Call 2011/12

In December 2011, the São Paulo Research Foundation (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo - FAPESP) and the University of Surrey launched a joint call aimed at encouraging collaborative research and joint grant proposals.

This is the second call of its kind following the Scientific Cooperation Agreement which was signed on 23rd August 2010 by São Paulo Research Foundation and the University of Surrey as part of their respective commitment to international scientific cooperation.

FAPESP and the University of Surrey will each contribute up to £5k per award to support mobility expenses (travel costs, living allowances and insurance).

An encouraging number of applications were received from across the University and following the scrutiny of a panel review, funding has been awarded to the subsequent individuals and their São Paulo partners:-
