RES provide a range of services to support Research, Enterprise and Knowledge Transfer activities across the University.

Advising academics on sourcing research funding and developing research proposals
Supporting major research initiatives and contracts
Organising visits from research funding bodies and running research events
Supporting the University's REF 2014 submission (Research Excellence Framework)
Co-ordinating the University’s links with business and stakeholders such as the UK research councils, major funders, and project partners
Management of the University’s Knowledge Transfer activities
Supporting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) Professor Steve Williamson in formulating and delivering the University's Research and Enterprise strategy
Providing research management information, working closely with the University’s Strategic Planning Department
Managing the University's portfolio of Professional Development
