The Projects Team provide project management services for and on behalf of the University of Surrey on a wide range of projects. These include projects funded by the EU, regional and national agencies and, via those university academics for which it provides project management services, the UK Research Funding Councils.
SPACE
IAA
The IAA aims to accelerate the process of research exploitation by delivering an innovative programme of activities that will significantly enhance the reach and impact of past, current and future EPSRC funded research beyond established exploitation routes.
SWIRL
Surrey Water Innovation Research & Learning seeks to support societal and environmental needs through a community of people engaged at the University of Surrey in water related innovation, research and learning.

SPRING
SPRING is a supporting action project under EU FP7 Environment theme, with the main objective of creating and providing a solid basis for future EU-China collaboration in environmental research.
Supergen: biological fuel cells
Supergen is an EPSRC funded research project. The Consortium is developing advanced technologies that exploit the special properties of biological systems for electrical energy production.
Securefish
Securefish is an FP7 EU project - Improving food security by reducing post-harvest losses in the fisheries sector.
3K-SAN
3K-SAN is a SPLASH Sanitation consortium project to develop and evaluate strategies for catalysing self-sustaining sanitation chains in low-income informal settlements in Kisumu (Kenya), Kampala (Uganda) and Kigali (Rwanda).
Student Enterprise
Students with enterprising ideas and those wanting to run their own business the opportunity throughout the academic year to gain experience. There are numerous pitching competitions including Pitching 4 Projects for entrepreneurs to achieve funding to progress their business idea, the Enterprise Academy, the Social Enterprise Academy, Enterprise Summer School, SIFE or the Entrepreneurs Society.
Additionally, work with the University’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Nigel Biggs, to offer support, encouragement, activities and prizes to students who show enterprise and entrepreneurial talent.
